Honeoye Public Library – Director
The seven-member, governing Board of Trustees of the Honeoye Public Library seeks an effective and creative new Director who will continue to develop this thriving, rural library. We are looking for someone who is not afraid to take chances, try new things or think outside the box. The ideal candidate will be someone who sees this library as a community center with welcoming space that can meet the educational and recreational needs of its residents. This is an opportunity for the right candidate to make a big impact in a small community.
The Honeoye Public Library is located in the Hamlet of Honeoye, in the Town of Richmond, in Ontario County, New York. Organized in 1903 by the Up-To-Date Society of Honeoye, the library celebrated 115 years of service to the surrounding communities in 2018. The library is an association library that serves a population just over 3,000, a member of the Pioneer Library System and open 26 hours per week.
Responsibilities: The director is the Chief Operating Officer of the library with administrative responsibility for implementing library policy, supporting the library’s facility and budget and completing the goals and objectives set forth in the Honeoye Public Library Long Range Plan.

Education Requirements: Two academic years of study at an accredited college or university. Previous library experience an asset.
Compensation: This is a part-time, non-exempt, 30 hour a week position at $19 – $21 per hour.
